Wrestling Biography ·

Kerry began his wrestling career with the Blackhawk Wrestling Program as a first grader. He decided at a young age that wrestling was his sport of choice and continued with their program from the youth level up through high school. As an athlete for Blackhawk, Kerry was the first wrestler in school history to win three section championships and accumulate over 100 varsity wins. In his sophomore year of High School Kerry started to train with the Angry Fish Wrestling Club on a regular basis. With encouragement from Angry Fish Coaches, Ty Moore and Ray Brinzer, Kerry decided to focus a large part of his energy toward Greco-Roman wrestling. As an athlete for the Angry Fish he placed at the PAWF State Championships in 2001, 2002, and 2003 and was named to the Pennsylvania Junior National Team as a result of his accomplishments. In order to pursue his interest in Greco-Roman wrestling, Kerry decided to attend Northern Michigan University and become a walk-on athlete at the United States Olympic Education Center (USOEC). He made the team his freshman year and earned a full scholarship after his first year of competing for the Greco-Roman team. Over the past several years Kerry has steadily improved at the sport and is now considered one of the top Greco-Roman athletes in the country. In 2008 Kerry was named to the US National Team. He has placed at numerous National and International Wrestling Tournaments on his path to achieving the final goal of becoming a World and Olympic Champion.
