Hungary Gold Grand Prix/Finishing up the tour 3/7/10 ·

I finished up the tour winless, going 0-2 for the Hungarian Golden Grand Prix. This type of tournament only occurs twice a year. The best of the best come to this competition. There was 25 countries there all with great credentials (i.e. Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Turkey etc.). The USA brought home zero medals and only two wins from friend Andy Bisek (he defeated world and Olympic champion). I drew the 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist my first match. He placed second which put me in the repaches to compete for third. However, I lost my second match to an opponent from Japan. I was hoping to redeem myself but that was not the plan. When you complete a tour and come home winless, it is anything but satisfying. I did learn many valuable things on the tour and have started to implement them into my training. I must find a way to reach the level of competition I just witnessed. Thanks for all your support. That’s all I have for now. I’ll keep you posted and keep praying for my success.
