Results of 2009 U.S. Nationals ·

I placed 6th this past weekend at the Senior U.S. Nationals. This qualifies me for the World Team Trials. It was a big relief to qualify for the trials and place at a new weight. However, I am a little disappointed with the 6th place finish. I started off with a dominating victory and then fell short in the quarterfinals. I rallied off two wins against two tough teammates and friends. I then fell short to another teammate/friend. I finished off the day with another tough loss in the 5th place match. As I stated this was my first time at this weight for nationals, but I have been wrestling this weight for almost a year now. It is now time for me to stop looking at this as a new weight and continue to climb the ladder. The World Team Trials is over a month away. This will give me ample time work on the things that failed me at Nationals. Thanks for all your support. That’s all I have for now. I’ll keep you posted and keep praying for my success.
